1. First, the teacher will take a vote of the class to see whether or not they think it was necessary for the U.S. to drop two bombs on Japanese cities.
2. Next, you will be assigned a group of 5 team members
3. Then, Each group number will be assigned one topic:
TEAM ONE For nuclear bombs
TEAM TWO Against nuclear bombs
TEAM THREE The dropping of the bomb
TEAM FOUR After-effects of the bomb
TEAM FIVE Japanese literature about the bombs
3. Teams will start out using the PathFinder and links listed under the Resources tab which will take them to links on the Library of Congress website which will be used to start their research.

Groups should consider:

- summary tables
- propaganda and political cartoon analysis

- How did the advances in technology which allowed for the invention of the atom bomb shape future global conflicts?
